How BEPeterson meets ASME Protocol for Coded Pressure Vessels

June 17, 2015
BEPeterson has been a leader in providing ASME coded pressure vessels since 1935. We provide coded vessels to industrial customers for a variety of applications. ASME pressure vessel manufacturing is one of our specialties. We provide end-to-end design engineering services and solutions for fabricating ASME pressure vessels and ASME tanks. BEPeterson is one of a very few ASME manufacturers who is also ISO 9001:2015 certified.Diverse Manufacturing Materials

We provide custom pressure vessels adhering to strict specifications and ASME standards. We place a great amount of importance on the materials used for fabricating the vessels. BEPeterson can provide pressure vessels in the following materials:

  • Stainless Steel
  • Carbon Steel
  • Nickel
  • Aluminum
  • Hastelloy Steel
  • 200 and 300 Series Stainless Steel
  • 2205 and 2207 Duplex Stainless Steel

We also provide material test certificates along with the pressure vessels when they are delivered.

Pressure Vessel Specifications

We provide custom ASME code and non-code pressure vessels in the following range of specifications:

  • Vessel Length: Up to 100ʹ OAL
  • Vessel Weight: Up to 40,000 lbs.
  • Vessel Thickness: Up to 3ʺ Thickness
  • Vessel Diameter: Up to 13ʹ Diameter
  • Vessel Pressure Range: Full Vacuum to 3,000 psi

Solution Driven Service Offerings

Quality is among the most critical aspects of pressure vessel manufacturing. We at BEPeterson ensure that our vessels meet all the quality requirements of ASME Section VIII and TUV. The service features of our ASME pressure vessels include:

  • Polished and electro polished finishing
  • Part welding adhering to ASME Section 9
  • Hydrostatically tested – vacuum leak testing

To ensure that the specifications of our vessels are up to the mark, we utilize Compress – an ASME code calculation software. This allows us to eliminate manual iteration to design individual components or entire vessels, which is time consuming.

In addition to the above mentioned points, we also offer a skid assembly service. Within this service, we provide design, fabrication, and installation services for vessels, pumps, piping, structural frames, and electrical equipment.

Wide Range of Inspection Capabilities

Testing and inspection is another critical part of our pressure vessel manufacturing process. At BEPeterson, we provide a broad range of solutions related to the inspection and performance of pressure vessels.

  • Hydrostatic Testing
  • Radiography
  • He Leak Testing
  • Positive Material Identification (PMI)
  • NDE – PT MT UT
  • Dimensional – Fero Arm
  • Ferrite Testing
  • Impact Testing

Meeting Industry Standards

The success of pressure vessel manufacturing cannot be complete without appropriate certification. We take pride in saying that our pressure vessels consistently meet the requirements of the following industry standards:

  • TUV
  • U, R, S & UM
  • ASME Section VIII
  • ISO 9001:2015
  • CE, PED, ABS and CRN upon request
