BE Peterson, Inc., an established custom-designed metal fabrication company, is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer I to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Provide Quality Engineering support to the metal fabrication processes
• Collect and analyze data and apply SPC (Statistical Process Controls) across different product lines
• Participate in problem solving activities incorporating the use of Root Cause and Corrective Action methods.
• Assemble customer data documentation packages
• Lead activities included in continuous improvement projects
• Generate Nonconformance and Corrective Action reports
• Understand inspection processes and tools
• Maintain quality records files
• Participate in maintaining our ISO Quality System
• Collaborate with other functions to establish and improve manufacturing and quality control methods
• Participate in internal audits to determine company’s compliance to 3^rd party organizations

Requirements:

• B.S. in Engineering or Science
• At minimum of 2 years’ experience in metal fabrication Industry
• Displays good written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• A basic knowledge of relevant ASME codes/standards is a plus:
• Develop a working knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing
• Develop an understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Experience with statistical software (Minitab) and ERP (Epicor) system is a plus
