Case Study Examples
We have delivered PED pressure vessels across a range of industries and applications. Below are two examples of our work.
Thermal Oxidizer for Ener-Core
Ener-Core required a large PED pressure vessel to serve as the thermal oxidizer, the central component of the Ener-Core Powerstation FP250. The system couples gradual oxidizer technology with gas turbine technology to deliver simultaneous pollution control and power generation. The specifications included:
- Dimensions: 60″ OD x 18.91′ OAL
- Material: SA-516-70
- Design pressure: 55 psi
- Design temperature: 400°F
We fabricated the thermal oxidizer to PED requirements, CE marked the vessel and delivered it ready for integration into the Powerstation FP250 system.
Helium Separators for a Compressor Assembly
Our client needed a series of PED-compliant pressure vessels to function as helium separators within a compressor assembly. The specifications included:
- Material: Carbon steel
- Configuration: Shell with weld caps and welded couplings
- Pressure rating: 2,000-8,400 psi
- CE certification: Issued by Bureau Veritas UK Ltd
Our experts fabricated and ASME-stamped the vessels, with CE certification coordinated through Bureau Veritas UK Ltd.
We Serve Diverse Industries
We provide PED code pressure vessels to industries that export equipment to or operate within the EU, including:
- Energy: Our experts build thermal oxidizers, separators and process vessels engineered for the pressures, temperatures and media of energy generation and processing applications.
- Chemical and industrial: We fabricate pressure vessels in alloys selected for compatibility with the process media, with jacketed configurations available for temperature-controlled applications.
- Medical: Your PED code pressure vessel features materials and surface treatments compatible with pharmaceutical manufacturing and biotech applications.
- Defense: We provide pressure vessels built with specified materials to help you meet stringent government requirements.
