How BEPeterson Meets All Welding Requirements of Customers

Since 1935, BEPeterson has been providing premium services for pressure vessel manufacturing. Among our diverse services, we are lauded for our versatile and solution driven welding processes. We offer a range of welding services that can meet assorted metal fabrication requirements of various customers.

Offering a Wide Range of Welding TechniquesOur team consists of experienced and certified welders who have the knowledge to perform different types of welding procedures

    • Submerged Arc Welding (SAW): SAW welding involves creating an arc between a work piece and a continuously fed electrode. A granular flux is used to create a protective shield around the weld zone. The arc is submerged in the flux, which covers the molten zone and prevents spatter. Many of our clients request for this welding procedure as it is known for its high productivity. At BEPeterson, we utilize automatic and semi-automatic equipment to perform this welding process.

    • MIG Welding: Also known as Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), MIG welding involves forming an electric arc between the metal work pieces and a consumable wire. The arc heats the work pieces, causing them to amalgamate. We provide semi-automatic MIG welding to our customers. Depending on the client’s requirements, we can also provide traditional MIG, or pulsed MIG welding services.

    • TIG Welding: Also known as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), TIG welding involves using a tungsten electrode to perform the welding process. The process utilizes argon as the shielding gas, and filler material is added separately. This makes the process quite flexible. We provide this as an automatic welding process, and it maintains a high level of welding quality.

    • Fluxed-Core Arc-Welding (FCAW): This method involves using a tubular electrode filled with flux to create the arc. It can be performed with or without shielding gases. What makes FCAW unique is that, specific weld alloy chemistries can be developed using this technique. Fluxed-Core Arc-Welding is an automatic welding process, which we offer to our clients for custom requirements

  • Shielded-Metal Arc Welding (SMAW): A simple yet versatile welding process, SMAW only requires a power supply and cables, and an electrode holder. The electrode is coated, and creates the arc by touching the work piece and quickly withdrawing it. We at BEPeterson can provide this welding process in automatic as well as manual.

Utilizing the Latest in Welding Equipment

Along with our team of certified welders, we utilize manual, semi-automatic, and automatic welding equipment to meet the welding needs of clients. We perform all welding processes in-house using advanced welding equipment:

  • Two 12ÔÇ▓ weld manipulators
  • Thirty welding stations
  • A 72″ external longitudinal seamer (up to 3/8″ thick)
  • A variety of auto weld positioners up to 5,000 lbs.
  • Semi-automatic Sub arch welding
